Flutist.
Teacher.
Musician.
Meet Jaron.
Educating the whole musician.
Started piano at nine at Bob Jones Elementary and picked up the flute a year later with Amanda Barrett — a combination that never really left.
Studied music education at Anderson University under Leah Wilson, then earned a Master of Music in Performance from UNC School of the Arts under Dr. Tadeu Coelho — with principal flute chairs, the Anderson Symphony Concerto Competition, and a 2022 UNCSA concerto finalist along the way.
Today the practice lives in three places at once: teaching music theory as an Adjunct Professor at Anderson University, playing principal flute with the Anderson Symphony Orchestra, and co-founding Exceed Academy of Music alongside a private teaching studio at home.
Educating the whole musician — an adaptive, flexible understanding of concepts across genres and traditions.
